What is a roguelike brick breaker?
The paddle and ball you know, with runs that never play the same twice.
A roguelike is a game played in runs: each run starts fresh, offers random choices along the way, and ends when you lose. A roguelite adds progress that carries over from one run to the next.
Runs instead of levels
In a classic brick breaker, you replay the same levels. In a Rogue Run, the waves are generated, they get harder as you go, and the run lasts as long as you survive.
Choices after every wave
After each wave you pick one card out of three: a perk or an elemental ball. Combined, they make a build: many balls and an explosive combo, or a heavy ball and long-lasting effects. That choice is what makes each run different.
Progress that stays
Coins earned in a run go to the Lab, where permanent upgrades make the next run start stronger. Balls you find stay in the Codex.
Quick or long
A run can last five minutes or much longer. You can stop at any time: the run is saved and resumes at the same wave.
